TBRI® Classes for Resource Parents
Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI is designed for children from “hard places” such as abuse, neglect, and/or trauma. Because of their histories, it is often difficult for these children to trust the loving adults in their lives, which often results in perplexing behaviors. This training offers practical tools for resource parents to see the “whole child” in their care and help that child reach his/her highest potential.
Foster and Kinship parents affiliated with COBYS Family Services, Lancaster County Children & Youth Agency, Bucks County Children & Youth Services, Schuylkill County Children & Youth Services and Wayne County Children & Youth Agency are invited to register for the 8-week TBRI course. Class meets 1 ½ hours each week.
Foster, Kinship, and Adoptive parents affiliated with other agencies are welcome to register for the TBRI Community course (see programs here) or join the waitlist by contacting education@cobys.org.
