Founded in 1979, COBYS Family Services is affiliated with the Atlantic Northeast District of the Church of the Brethren. Since 1989 COBYS has been headquartered in the historic Oregon Mill, north of Lancaster (near Oregon Dairy and Reflections Restaurant), and has offices on Murry Hill Circle and in downtown Lancater.

COBYS Family Services continues to represent and provide Christlike concern and care for children and families in need.

COBYS facilitates programs and services through The Lancaster County Children and Youth Social Service Agency and the Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network (SWAN). Additional services to support those in the foster care and adoption system and those in need of counseling are provided.

A New Look

COBYS Family Services is pleased to unveil our new logo. As the services and programs of COBYS have grown in recent years, we wanted a refreshed agency image, reflecting  the hope and promise of a brighter future for the children, adults and families we serve.

The logo demonstrates how much COBYS values being an organization with serving hands and caring hearts for those in need. The colors represent inspiring energy and hope.

Each service area of COBYS will be represented with a corresponding color used in the logo design to help quickly identify focus of information presented.
