News & Event Navigation

The 23rd annual COBYS Bike & Hike will take place on Sunday afternoon, September 8, at the Lititz Church of the Brethren, 300 West Orange Street, Lititz, PA 17543. From seasoned motorcyclists to Sunday strollers, hundreds of participants are expected to attend to support the ministries of COBYS Family Services. Participants can choose from three modes of transportation and four routes:

  • 3-mile walk through Lititz
  • 10- or 25-mile bicycle ride through Lancaster County scenery
  • 65-mile motorcycle ride through beautiful northwest Lancaster County

According to Anne Stokes, director of development, “Bike & Hike is a great way for individuals, families and churches to gather together with our sponsoring businesses to not only have fun, but to raise critical funds to support the children and families we serve. Our services in the community are often underfunded. Participants in Bike & Hike help us make up the difference.”

People who have not participated before or heard about COBYS and its ministries of foster care, adoption, counseling and family life education, are encouraged to attend.

Pre-registration for Bike & Hike is encouraged but not required. It can be done online at www.cobys.org/bike-and-hike, with a minimum donations of $25 before September 3 or $30 after. Full event information is available on the website and participants can create their own online fundraising page to gain support from friends and family.

COBYS asks area businesses and individuals to consider donating a door prize or silent auction item to make Bike & Hike a success. Donations are welcomed up to the day of the event. Bike & Hike is a great way to promote your business at this popular fundraising event and support COBYS at the same time! To arrange a donation of a door prize or auction item, please contact Director of Development Anne Stokes at 717-656-6580 or anne@cobys.org.
