Join us for this celebration fundraiser; an evening of conversation and good food where we celebrate our common threads across the generations.

We’ll share COBYS updates and highlight the care we deliver together. This year we’ll look across generations at best practices training, classes and care across COBYS departments meeting the complex needs of the children, individuals and families we serve.
Hear about the real world impact of our ministries as together across all generations, we are making life-impacting differences in the community.

We all have a calling and part to play in this ministry of healing, to make a real difference in the lives of those we serve.

Meet the Blimlines

COBYS Family Services introduces Becky and Terry Blimline, who will share their foster care and adoption journey. Hear how together, we are making a real difference in the lives of their adopted children.

COBYS has many types of foster families. Becky and Terry Blimline represent one type of COBYS family who started foster care with the intent to adopt. What they didn’t know was how quickly that would happen for them!

They will be our guests to share their wonderful, surprising story of being blessed with their first placement of three siblings resulting in adoption.

Come hear about their journey from being a couple to family of five, with all the blessings and challenges along the way.

5:30 – 6:00 pm   Welcome reception and appetizers
6:00 – 6:45 pm     Dinner (your choice of entrée)
6:45 – 8:00 pm     Presentation and Q&A

1. Free Range Chicken Breast filled with Spinach and Ricotta, Whipped Potatoes and Assorted Vegetables (gluten free)
2. Roasted Salmon Romesco with Herbed Quinoa and Oven-Roasted Asparagus
3. Orecchiette Pasta with Sautéed Broccoli, Crushed Cauliflower, Tomatoes and Garlic Oil (Vegan/Vegetarian)
Includes one drink ticket to enjoy a glass of wine or beer.

Common threads across COBYS. 
Hear about the work we’re doing together every day across the organization. Director of Family Life Services, Abby Keiser will share seasons of care. Permanency Supervisor, Summer Weaver addresses the current landscape of social services. Assistant Director of Family Life Services, Holly Hardin shares the strides being made in trauma training and mental health tools for teens. And Counseling Supervisor, Amy Wittmaier touches on mental health and therapy across generations.
