This is the 25th year of the COBYS Bike & Hike, our signature fundraising event which enables us to offer the children and families we serve the kind of transformative, positive, life altering care they deserve. How to participate in the 2021 Bike & Hike:

September 12, 2021

We’re going back to basics. Group starts return to the Bike & Hike, with health, safety and fun in mind.

Schedule for the day:
Motorcycles (65 mile ride):
Registration 12:30 p.m.
Ride begins 1:30 p.m.
Bicycle Riders and Walkers:
Registration begins 1:30 p.m.
Bicycle (25 mile):
25-mile ride begins 2:00 p.m.
Bicycle (10 mile) and Walkers:
10-mile ride & Walk begin 2:30 p.m.
Ice Cream Sundae Bar and Celebration:
When participants begin to return around 3:15 p.m.

COBYS routes: 3-mile walk; 10-mile bike ride; 25-mile bike ride, 65-mile motorcycle ride.

 

Use Our Course or Yours
If you are unable to attend the event in Lititz on September 12th, participants or groups of participants may choose to “Walk or Ride Where You Are”, choosing your own convenient date and time. Please complete your walk or ride no later than September 12.
Use our posted courses or your own course. Simply gather your sponsors as usual, and do your walk or ride when it works for you.
COBYS courses: 3-mile walk; 10-mile bike ride; 25-mile bike ride, 65-mile motorcycle ride.

 

A COBYS Kickstart
In honor of COBYS celebrating 25 years of the Bike & Hike event, we set a goal of raising $25,000 before September 12. We’re calling it COBYS Kickstart because it’s our special way to get you excited and motivated to give. Executive Director Mark Cunningham has competed with some of COBYS staff in fun, friendly events to raise awareness of this fund.

With less than one week until the Bike & Hike, we’re getting so close. Currently just over $22,500 has been committed to the Kickstart Fund. Please help us meet our goal of raising $25,000 before September 12 with a donation to the Kickstart fund.

Choose COBYS Kickstart on the registration page (scroll down to the Kickstart section), or on the pledge or donation form (paper and online) to designate your donation.

 

How It Works

1. READY – Register: Pre-register online or by mailing a registration form with your $30 minimum
donation or sponsorship (sponsorships count toward minimum donation). Pre-registration is encouraged (Take a $5 early bird discount if you register by September 5). Registration is available the day of the event.
2. SET – Gather Sponsorships: Enlisting sponsors is optional, but we encourage you to expand the circle of giving by inviting friends and family to support your efforts. Create an online personal fundraising page or use the sponsorship sheet (print & digital forms available). Donations can be collected prior to the event or pledged for later giving. Submit your sponsor sheet and any money you choose to collect at registration, drop off or mail to COBYS at 1417 Oregon Rd. Leola, PA 17540. Those who donate $20 or more will receive an acknowledgment for their tax records. We honor requests from sponsors not to add them to our mailing list. Please make checks payable to COBYS Family Services. The top three fundraisers will receive grand prizes. Thank you gifts are also available.
3. GO – Complete your walk or ride: Join us for the 25th annual Bike & Hike on September 12 or walk or ride on your own time. If you complete your course on your own, or are unable to walk or ride that day, please stop by the Lititz Church of the Brethren between 12:30-4:30 pm on September 12 to pick up your T-shirt and a door prize.
