Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) for Foster & Kinship Parents
Class
Schedule
Eligibility for this program is limited to foster and kinship parents.
Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children from “hard places” such as abuse, neglect, and/or trauma. Because of their histories, it is often difficult for these children to trust the loving adults in their lives, which often results in perplexing behaviors.
This training offers practical tools for resource parents to see the “whole child” in their care and help that child reach his/her highest potential.
Only foster and kinship parents affiliated with the following may register for this TBRI course:
- COBYS Family Services
- Lancaster County Children & Youth Agency
- Schuylkill County Children & Youth Services
- Wayne County Children & Youth Agency
Not affiliated with those agencies? Foster and kinship parents affiliated with other agencies are welcome to register for the TBRI Community Course or join the waitlist by contacting education@cobys.org.
Attendance Policy: Successful completion of the TBRI course requires full participation. Participants are allowed to miss 3 hours (2 sessions) of the course; otherwise he/she will need to retake the entire course.
